Now FREE ENTRY for our final two weeks!!
Returning for a summer of lounging and schmoozing, the Geffrye Museum is pleased to present the Garden Variety Bar.

Relax on a deck chair in the serene urban oasis of the museums gardens, or try your hand at some suitably suave garden games whilst sipping on inspired creations from Background Bars, the genius bartenders behind some of London's favourite hotspots.

Enjoy the hidden gem in the heart of Hoxton this summer (fingers crossed for some actual sunshine...!)

And YES, we do have gazebos to provide cover should the British summer be a bit unreliable!

What a lovely space. I wish I would have had more time to enjoy it. There was issues with the tube line to get there so I forced to take a bus. And there was horrific traffic. My 45 minutes allotted turned into almost an hour & a half! I was only there for 10 minutes. The drinks were interesting and herbal based from the garden, but a little watered down.

It was not what I was expecting. The staff were very friendly, but there was only a choice of three cocktails, all served in plastic glasses and not even mixed in a cocktail shaker. I appreciate that the rain didn't help, but there was no bbq and the botanicals stretched to a sprig of rosemary in each cocktail. Visited Geffrye Museum on 2017-08-18

Nice atmosphere, cute deckchairs and beautiful garden. No food stall and definitely not worth paying £3 to sit in the dark with overpriced cocktails. Visited Geffrye Museum on 2017-08-18

It was good, but would have enjoyed it more if it was not for the great British summer weather. Maybe think about patio heaters or similar for the chillier evenings? We were told there would be pop-ups selling street food. There weren't any, it would have been nice to have had something to eat while we were enjoying our drinks. So 6/10 I would say. Lovely place to spend an evening with friends, in a beautiful serene setting. Lot's of separate little places in the garden, where you can hang out all night and not feel like you're too loud for the neighbours. Cocktails 8, wine and beer 4 and there's always a food vendor cooking up tasty things. Visited Geffrye Museum on 2017-08-04

Awful...very quite no DJ just some radio with sound they did not have any soft drinks or any choice of wine. One red and one white white cap screw on top.over priced spirits and not enough drinks either. There wasn't even any whisky !! I did not see any cocktails that complemented any historical garden as explained on the event advertisements It was terrible and extremely quite only few people were there Visited Geffrye Museum on 2017-07-28

Lovely garden with gray variety of plants and flowers. Despite the rain, we had a nice relaxing evening thanks to the tents sheltering us. Visited Geffrye Museum on 1970-01-01
